
The Center for International Affairs at Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) successfully organized an online workshop on QS University Rankings in partnership with INTI International University, a distinguished Malaysian institution ranked 509 in the QS World University Rankings.
The workshop aimed to strengthen GUB’s institutional readiness for global rankings by enhancing understanding of QS methodologies, indicators, and data submission protocols. The session was led by Prof. Dr. Goh Khang Wen, Pro Vice-Chancellor of INTI International University, who served as the keynote resource person.
During his comprehensive module-based presentation, Prof. Dr. Goh provided valuable insights into several core areas essential for competitive QS performance, including:
QS ranking cycles, processes, and key deadlines
Indicator frameworks for QS World, Asia, and Subject rankings
Data submission requirements, survey nomination procedures, and validation criteria
INTI’s own successful ranking journey as a practical model for GUB
Strategic recommendations for enhancing international reputation, research productivity, and institutional capacity
The event was honored by the presence of the Honorable Vice Chancellor,
Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shorif Uddin, as Chief Guest, and the Honorable Pro Vice Chancellor,
Prof. Dr. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed, as Special Guest. Both leaders emphasized GUB’s commitment to raising its global profile through high-impact academic and research initiatives.
Key academic and administrative leaders, including Prof. Dr. ASM Shihavuddin, Director of CETL and CRITS, and Dr. Mohammed Nazmus Shakib, Additional Director of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell, actively contributed to the discussions. Their insights will play an essential role in shaping a renewed roadmap to elevate GUB’s QS ranking performance in the coming years.
